This came across my desk during the Christmas break, I thought it was truly beautiful and would like to share it with you all...............
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole, which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of a long walk from the stream to the house the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the women bringing home only one and a half pots full.
Of course the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the women one day by the stream.
“I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.”
The old women smiled, “did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?”
That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back you water them.
“For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.”
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”
Each of us have our own unique flaw…
You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
To all of our special families, remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path.

Hi Tracey, just thought I'd let you know that Alana has just recently got to an age appropriate level. Her teacher has just been amazed by her progress and her reading recovery teacher also said that they had never seen that kind of improvement in all their years of teaching. What a complement! Alana is very very determined to do well, very motivated & focussed another aspect her teacher couldn't believe. The change in her is not short of a miracle. I'm going to get you to re-test her so we can have her new stats and perhaps set some new goals. Alana is so proud of what she's achieved and Aldo the principal also gave her "the principals award" for her efforts and improvement in reading writing and spelling.

This young man used TLP for 6 months who has Aspergers.
I initially assessed him on 17th of April 2009 and just retested him. He went on TLP with no bone conduction. He is aged 11y11m.
His intial results on the Brain Boy were Visual - 50ms and Auditory 90ms.
After completing 6 months of TLP, Visual - 34ms and Auditory was 50ms.
His initial results on the Scan C for standard scores were :
FW - 1
AFG - 3
CW - 6
CS - 10
with a composite standard score of 68 which placed him at the bottom of the 'Borderline range'.
After 6 months of TLP his standard scores were:
FW -9
AFG - 9
CW - 11
CS - 15
with a composite standard score of 106, which placed him in the NORMAL range!
By the way I only saw him once a month and he had no other therapy interventions.
These results are amazing. I haven't ever seen dramatic changes like this in just 6 months. I hope I scored him right the first time!
Anyway I just wanted to send this to you to encourage you to know that you are making an amazing difference in kids lives.
I also ran into a family I hadn't seen for about 7 months and their son has ASD. He has only used TLP and he is now on his second round of listening. The family are so happy with the results and they said he is a much happier kid! They love using TLP.
